Preserving Your Legacy
: A Practical Guide to Archiving Your Digital and Analog Photos, Videos, and Stories
This comprehensive course takes you on an in-depth journey toward becoming the keeper of your family’s history. It grew out of my efforts to preserve and archive both the digital and analog parts of my family’s visual legacy and stories. Along the way, I learned that what often feels like an overwhelming and confusing task can be an enjoyable and deeply rewarding experience. Through this course, I share the practical research and archiving tools and insights I discovered—and I hope you’ll find the same sense of purpose and fulfillment in the process that I did.

Setting Up and Working with PhotoSweeper
PhotoSweeper is the most powerful and comprehensive duplicate remover for Mac systems. This course covers how to set it up so that PhotoSweeper accurately identifies the duplicates you want to remove, while preserving the images you want to keep. PhotoSweeper is a robust application that requires a bit of learning to use efficiently and effectively. This course will help you get the most out of it and achieve the best possible results in cleaning up your photo library.

De-Dupe Your Photo Collection with Cisdem Duplicate Finder for Mac and Windows
A step-by-step guide to successfully removing duplicates from your photo collection using Cisdem Duplicate Finder—for both Mac and Windows. After creating the course on PhotoSweeper, I was asked by The Photo Managers to develop a version for more casual users and one that worked on both Mac and Windows. While Cisdem Duplicate Finder requires a bit of learning, it's essentially simple to use and does a thorough job of removing duplicates from your photo library.

Building Blocks of Digital Photo Organizing

A few years ago, The Photo Managers asked me to create their comprehensive course on digital imaging and organizing—everything from A to Z—to help anyone understand the basics of how it all works. I began working with digital imaging in the early 1990s, and this course is a culmination of everything I’ve learned and practiced over the years, and everything you need to get started with organizing your digital image library.
